Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Gus collects, why, and how it is used. Gus is operated as a UK business and this policy is written to meet UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Gus is a software product built for UK heating engineers and trades businesses. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at m.swalihu@heygus.co.uk.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site or product, we may collect:

Why we collect it

We use your data to respond to enquiries, arrange and hold booked calls, operate the product for paying customers, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Booking calls

When you book a call through our site, your name, email and any details you provide are shared with Calendly to arrange the appointment. Calendly's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data during the booking process.

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and booking data only as long as needed to respond to you or maintain our records, and customer data only for as long as you remain a customer plus a reasonable period afterwards required by law or good practice.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, email m.swalihu@heygus.co.uk.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the data we hold. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep data safe and only accessible to those who need it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new updated date.
